I am Joseph R. I am a family man who has had a long-standing, grounded and stable marriage with three children, all of whom graduated from top tier universities. I deeply respect people trying to maintain the health of a family during marriage dissolution because I know that divorce does not end a family relationship.
While I have honed extensive litigation experience during my years of practice, I am constantly striving to deepen my competence, teaching jury trial courses at the University of Notre Dame and at the University of San Francisco law school.

My practice of law is a hands-on practice. Though I have two part-time paralegals who have worked with me for years, I am proud to say that nearly all work done in a file of mine is performed by me, not some assistant.

My office, located one block from the San Mateo County courthouse and two minutes from Highway 101, offers free parking and a two-block walk from the Caltrain with connections to BART. I am available Monday through Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., though I frequently am able to see clients after hours.
